Willow sculptures of mainly animal form made from different varieties and colours of soaked willow

The flowing organic shapes of animals and the surprising process of intensely investigation a new subject are what interest her. Her weaving suggests movement, weight and muscle tone and results in something beautiful and life-like but with character. The sculptures last forever indoors but, if put outside, are temporary and so are somehow more precious and demand more attention. They must be admired as they age and weather and finally disappear altogether. Each piece is unique and evolves which makes the whole process exciting and fresh.
