Exciting times… The weekend of the trail has arrived!

This evenings preview starts at 7.30pm at the new fabulous venue Village Point, Heaton Moor. The trail begins tomorrow at 11am, the tuk tuk will do the first pick up at St pauls Church.

Everyone has been working hard at all the venues to get ready for the trail …

It’s a hive of industry as artists Tone  Von Krogh, Mia Calderisi-Phelan and Ruth Hartmann prepare the window display ready for the trail.

Featured Venue – Village Point

This Year another exciting new venue to join the arts trail is Village Point

“a brand new events venue for the Heatons, featuring two iconic rooms suitable for a variety of occasions, and a co-working space for local freelancers, entrepreneurs, and small businesses. Located on Heaton Moor Road in the heart of the village (next door to the Elizabethan Pub), this beautiful 19th century building is currently undergoing a major renovation to restore its original glory whilst providing 21st century facilities.”

The Preview Night will take place here on Friday 24th June.

Today’s featured venue -Arc

 

Heatons Arts trail would like to introduce and welcome Arc, a venue new to the trail. Arc is a little bit off the beaten track and well worth a visit.
It is a huge space that has recently been renovated and the result is a fresh, contemporary space which will enable them to offer refreshments through the week. There’s a fantastic workshop space and a great gallery.They have added two new rooms during the renovation.

Arc is a fully accessible building.

Exhibiting artists for the Arts Trail weekend are Josephine Gornall, Mandy Cleveland, Michelle Cullen, Joanne Bull and Lucy Burgess.

Workshops and activities at Arc

Saturday 25th June -workshops are  Minecraft mask-making workshop from 11am-1pm and Josephine Gornall will be leading  3d needle felting from 3pm- 5pm both workshops are free.

Sunday 26th June -groove to the sounds of the Heaton Moor Ukulele Band 4pm -5pm
